Digital Delivery & Photo Licence

This policy applies to watermarked previews and to photographs delivered through paid or complimentary gallery access.

A complimentary gallery is free of charge, but its privacy, copyright and permitted-use rules are the same unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

1. Private gallery access

Gallery links, QR codes, passwords and access tokens are intended for the recipient and people they authorise. Do not publish credentials. We may suspend access where misuse or a security risk is reasonably suspected. Gallery access may expire on the date shown in the gallery or in the delivery message.

2. Previews are not deliverables

Watermarked, compressed or lower-resolution images are provided for review and selection. Copying them, removing a watermark, taking screen captures for reuse or bypassing access controls is not permitted.

3. When download access is granted

Download access is granted only when the system records an eligible paid transaction or Ephesus Photo authorises complimentary access for the relevant gallery or files. Complimentary access does not create a payment obligation and does not represent a refund or a paid transaction.

4. Personal-use licence

Unless a separate written licence says otherwise, the recipient receives a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to download, store, print and share the delivered photographs for private, non-commercial use. Reasonable cropping and colour adjustments for personal display are allowed if they do not misrepresent the work.

5. Uses requiring written permission

  • Advertising, sponsorship, resale, merchandising or other commercial use.
  • Licensing to a publication, brand, agency or another third party.
  • Competition entry, stock-library submission or sale as a digital collectible.
  • Removal of watermarks from previews or material alteration presented as the photographer’s work.
  • Use as training data or input for facial-recognition, biometric or generative-AI systems.

6. Copyright, privacy and sharing

Copyright remains with the photographer or Ephesus Photo, as applicable. The licence does not transfer ownership. Before sharing images of other people, especially children, consider their privacy and obtain any permission required. Ephesus Photo will not use client photographs for marketing without separate permission.

7. Download, backup and support

Download eligible files before gallery access expires and keep your own secure backup. If an authorised file is missing, damaged or cannot be downloaded, contact ephesusphotoservice@gmail.com promptly with the gallery or order reference. Availability after an expiry or completed retention period cannot be guaranteed.
